Hope at Sunrise

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA    2009

This is a small water-color quilt.   Water Color Quilts are constructed of small squares and the images created by the placement of colors and prints.  I wanted to try it, but found I do not enjoy it as much as paper piecing and regular piecing.

I didn’t have a plan – just wanted to see how the fabrics I had on hand would go together and this is what happened.  The morning star looked like a cross. so I enhanced that with stitching and beads.  This went to my Aunt Eloise who hung it in her nursing home room.  I don’t know what happened to it when she died.
