I started sewing squares together for this quilt a few years ago, thinking at the time it could be a present for my nephew Thomson if and when he ever got married. This summer he did marry his long time girlfriend Wi who is a delightful addition to our family – pretty, smart, kind, thoughtful. and talented.

I offered to make them a quilt as a wedding present and was delighted when they chose this unfinished quilt. They requested blue border and backing which I really like.

It’s 2880 1.5″ squares. Not quite a charm quilt because I did use more than one square of the fabrics I liked a lot.
