I wanted to make something for my sister Jean’s birthday. She doesn’t need another quilt. She doesn’t have any more space for a wall hanging. She does use place mats, so I thought a festive birthday table runner might be something she’d like. And if she didn’t think she’d use it often, she could give it to her daughter Christina.

I tried to use unisex colors in the border instead of pink.
