I bought a pattern for this, but changed the leaves to look more realistic.  Again, I’m trying to expand my color comfort zone with yellows, blacks & oranges.  It was hard to find yellows that showed up well against the off-white background.  Some of the flowere are embellished a bit with paint to make them stand out.

I also thought the birds needed eyes – it’s Three Bind Mice, not Seventeen Blind Blackbirds.  It was hard to find these tiny buttons!  So this quilt would not be appropriate for a small child.
