My cousin Stephany approached me about making this on commission.  We had a lot of fun conferring about size,  orientation, how many panels, theme, how many paragliders, how many of the multitudinous lines to show.  She requested soaring birds.  I had seen  Frigatebirds on Bonaire – they are big! and I wanted to get an ocean scene in there too.  I had repeated googled ‘paragliding images’ and got some good ideas from there too.

Originals are always fun.  Except for the times “OK, what do I do next?  Uh-oh – I haven’t decided that yet.”

Since it was a wall hanging, I could use fabrics and embellishments that would not stand up to use as a quilt.
