For a long time I’ve been saving strips of leftover binding, trim from quilt backings and other strips of fabric at least 6 inches long and only a couple of inches wide.  This is what some of them turned into.  This used up most of the bright strips – now I have a lot of dark blue and brown strips left.

My nickname for this quilt is “Eye of Mordor”.  It reminds me of the fiery eye in the LORD OF THE RINGS movies.
