Mary Helen’s Great-granddaughter Kenleigh is the delight of her life.  Since Mary Helen is  one of my favorite neighbors, it was fun to make a quilt for this little girl.  According to Mary Helen, Kenleigh is a very girly little girl and loves pink as much as her Great-grandmother.  Mary Helen wanted the quilt to have a pickup truck since several of the men in her family drive one and also an airplane.  Other than that, it is sugar and spice and pink.

Mary Helen liked the very feminine pastel alphabet panel for the back.

This is the pink we started out with and the one we ended up with.  Shortly after starting to work with the bright pink, I could not get Pepto Bismol off my mind.  This was not good.  We both liked the softer pink with its subtle design.
