Uncle Sidney ( 1908-1997) was a farmer in Georgia.  In 2012 my cousin Gloria gave me his ties – probably most of the ties he owned in his life.  I washed them and took them apart.  I wanted a design that showed the fabric was men’s  neckties.  The tails fill the spaces between the ties .  The blue-grey cotton fabric makes me think of men’s suiting.
