This was a great “stash buster”.  I liked a block on a Christmas Quilt I saw at Wish Upon a Quilt ( Raleigh Quilting store).  There were strips of red striped fabric cut on the bias to look like candy canes.  I got carried away with all sorts of colors.  Someone said this could also be called “Pick-up-sticks”.  It is actually pieced, although it would have been much easier to applique the thin strips.

Also my first experience channel quilting the sashes & border.  Anybody have any tips for channel quilting in areas where the seams are really short?
