World War II

My Father, Larry Lynch, was a bombadier/navigator in B-26’s in the War and was shot down over Germany and killed. (Mom then married Roger Sayre and had some more children.) I only recently discovered that one member of the crew was able to parachute to relative safety and eventually got back home to the Pittsburgh area. We went up and had a nice visit.

After the War, he got married and had a daughter. The daughter got married and they moved to Raleigh! Her husband retired after a long career on the Raleigh police force and they live in Franklinton, NC, not very far away.
