This recipe is from my sister-in-law Jeanne DeMart who married into an Italian family.
- 1 pkg yeast
- 1 Cup warm water
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 Tablespoons oil
- 2 1/2 cups flour
Dissolve yeast in warm water. Stir in remaining ingredients and beat about 20 strokes. Let dough “rest” 5 minutes. Heat over to 425. Get topping ingredients ready.
Divide dough in half. Press into shape on 10″ round pizza pans ( or any cookie sheets) Flour fingers while you work to keep dough from sticking.
Put on toppings. Place in oven for 20-25 minutes. Could save cheese to put on in last 10 minutes to keep it gooey.
