Z<\/a><\/p>\nUp to now, my rag quilts have been made with a top and 2 layers of flannel to give them weight and warmth.\u00a0 That makes the fringe REALLY thick with 6 layers of fabric.\u00a0 So for this quilt, I used up a lot of batting remnants by putting a square of batting in each block.\u00a0 it is trimmed so that it will got get into the fringe.\u00a0 It also requires that each block have some quilting to hold the batting in place, but that’s pretty easy since I can quilt each block before I even sew them together.\u00a0 Now the fringe is still luxurious, but not too thick.<\/p>\n
