Mary Helen’s Great-granddaughter Kenleigh is the delight of her life.\u00a0 Since Mary Helen is\u00a0 one of my favorite neighbors, it was fun to make a quilt for this little girl.\u00a0 According to Mary Helen, Kenleigh is a very girly little girl and loves pink as much as her Great-grandmother.\u00a0 Mary Helen wanted the quilt to have a pickup truck since several of the men in her family drive one and also an airplane.\u00a0 Other than that, it is sugar and spice and pink.<\/p>\n

Mary Helen liked the very feminine pastel alphabet panel for the back.<\/p>\n

This is the pink we started out with and the one we ended up with.\u00a0 Shortly after starting to work with the bright pink, I could not get Pepto Bismol off my mind.\u00a0 This was not good.\u00a0 We both liked the softer pink with its subtle design.<\/p>\n
