I’ve been intrigued by the idea of Fidget Quilts, which give folks something to do with their hands.\u00a0 “Fidget Quilts can be a soothing solution to the restlessness, fidgeting and anxiety that often comes with Alzheimer’s, Stroke, Dementia, Brain Trauma and other disorders.”<\/p>\n

A friend’s elderly mother-in-law was becoming very sedentary and confused so I made one for her.\u00a0 The lady used to enjoy sewing and cooking, so I included a wooden thread spool and some plastic measuring spoons ( detachable for washing).<\/p>\n

Lots of different fabrics, zippered compartment ( needs a zipper pull), velcro strap, buttons ( firmly fastened) and tabs of different textures.<\/p>\n
