\"BigStars\"<\/a>\u00a0 2014<\/p>\n

For a couple of years, I’ve been saving strips trimmed from quilt backs and leftover strips.\u00a0 This quilt from June\/July 2014 QUILT magazine looked like a good way to use some up.\u00a0 I didn’t like the name – Spring Cleaning.\u00a0 That’s like naming a quilt “Mopping the Kitchen”.\u00a0 Also instead of using light prints in the areas between the stars, I used mostly white and light neutrals.\u00a0 I think it defined the stars better.<\/p>\n

This is a monster, finishing up at 90×90!<\/p>\n

I’ve been wanting to make something for my friend Gary for years,so when she said she liked this, she got it.<\/p>\n

This shows the print I used for the backing.\u00a0 It took over 7 yards.\u00a0 Thank heavens for sales and coupons!<\/p>\n
