She had started before but didn&#8217;t use interfacing on the T-shirts.   By the time she interfaced them and squared them up, the shirts were not all the same size.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The plan was to make a bed sized quilt out of 30 blocks &#8211; 5 x 6.  The largest T-shirt  was about 14&#8243;, so we added borders to the other squares to make them the same size.  A couple of squares included small t-shirt designs.  The one Carol really liked was the square that included the pocket from a pair of pants.  Carol said she could put notes to her daughter in the pocket.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I helped Carol design the blocks with more than one shirt, but she sewed the rest of the quilt top herself. It&#8217;s happy and playful and bright.
