I fell in love with this fabric collection when I first saw it in a catalog. So when I saw it in a local quilt store, I succumbed. This may be the first time I’ve ever bought a pattern AND the fabric to go with it. As much as I like the fabric, I don’t like the idea that dozens or scores or possibly hundreds of quilts JUST LIKE MINE exist.

And there’s the problem of what am I going to do with the quilt after I finish it? We’ve got a dear friend who is really into astronomy. His wife said he’d like a quilt to use watching TV. As made by the pattern, this would have been big enough for a bed quilt. So I left the outer border off. Part of that went into the table runner.
