Although the baby was not born until 2013, I decided to give her this baby girl quilt I had made in 2010.  There’s a sentimental reason.  Like me, my cousin Marie loved our Aunt Eloise dearly.  And Aunt Eloise had given me the fabric for the quilt backing.

Aunt Eloise had several other names.  Marie and others called her “Hap” because she was always so happy.  My own father called her “Hell Cat” and she did sign some things “H.C.”

I’m learning – the narrow white inner border & the quilting in the wider border are improvements.  Template for hearts was a cookie cutter.
