Bookshelf Quilt

Bookshelves are quite personal. Sometimes they have photographs and other treasures interspersed with the books. And then there are the books themselves.

This quilt was for my friend Barbara Hocutt’s daughter, who is a librarian. And loves Jane Austen, her cat, gardening and travel. So I had fun designing this.

The photos were scanned in to my computer and printed on printable fabric.

My machines don’t do embroidery, but they have some fancy stitches including the alphabet.
