My Uncle George’s wife Jean asked me to make a baby quilt for her first great-grandchild.  Katie, the baby’s mother, liked my “Critters in the Woods” quilt.  And she and Jean both wanted me to incorporate some fabric from clothing that had been worn by family members who would also be thrilled by this baby if they were still alive.

Katie decorated the nursery with trees and animals and I asked her to pick out the animals to use in the quilt.  She loved the baby animal/woodland fabric I found for the backing.  I incorporated the memorial fabrics in the trees.
