I signed up for a Joan Ford workshop back in the winter. We were instructed to bring tools & fabrics to start a quilt named “99 Bottles” . Like the song, making this quilt goes on and on and on and on and … – I think you get the picture. There must be 3000 pieces, including hundreds of tiny 1 inch squares that finish up as 1/2 inch squares.
It’s from Joan’s book Scrap Therapy – Scraps Plus 1! The idea is to use up some of the small pieces and strips of fabric left over from making other quilts. I had a lot of blue and red, so I went with that and added some crisp white. The back is blue too.
I enjoyed the class very much, but making this quilt did get tedious. I have finally finished it.
