A book from the library had some different tree patterns.  I have lots of green, so I made some trees.  Those blocks lay around for a couple of years until I found Margaret Rolfe’s books with paper-pieced animals.  I picked some animals native to North Carolina and interspersed them among the trees.

This quilt won second in the state at the Woman’s Club Art Festival.
