I had admired this pattern at Misty Brazelton’s house. She was kind enough to find it for me. The children in this quilt always made me think of Reid’s sister Jeannie Demart who is a teacher and finds something to love in every child. So I made the quilt for Jeannie. The official name is American Melting Pot from November 1994 McCall’s Quilting magazine.
It was fun – like dressing paper dolls, which were some of my favorite toys as a girl.
