By this point I am retired. I wanted to copy one of my grandmother’s quilts in colors for our bedroom. This time I went to the now defunct Archangel Quilt shop and bought cotton batting for the first time. In memory of my grandmother, I actually hand quilted it. The quilting pattern is arcs. My father once told me that my grandmother marked the quilting pattern on her quilt tops by holding chalk in her hand and pivoting on her elbow. And I have some of her quilts to look at.
Reid and I use this quilt in all except the hot weather. We turn it the other way – seems we need more length from side to side than head to foot since we don’t usually pull it over hour heads.
