2007 My friend Noelle had a treasured tied quilt her grandmother had made her. It was about worn out and she wanted to make another one. This was her first venture into quilting. I did talk her into making a simple patchwork top for it instead of just using a sheet. ( The down side was that it was hard to get the needle with the yard through the multiple layers at the corners.) It was also my first venture into tying a quilt. Noelle taught me that. I loved her choice of fabrics and colors and the black and white yarn for tying.
Noelle’s daughter Callie came over to help with the tying part.
And here’s a close-up of the finished quilt with the fuzzy fringy ties.
